Tonight Show funny man, Jimmy Fallon, poured his creative energy into a cute book for toddlers called, Your Baby’s First Word Will Be Dada. Frustrated that his now-two-year-old daughter, Winnie, said, “mama” as her first word, he was determined to change that for his second daughter, Franny.
Fallon admitted that it is obvious what this book’s intention is: “There’s no plot. There’s barely a plot,” Fallon shared with Today Show host Matt Lauer. Fallon solely wanted to do everything possible to ensure that his and your baby’s first word will be, ‘dada’.”
I’m all for making it easier for dads to connect with their little ones—and for sparking a love of reading! Although dads are Fallon’s intended audience, I found this book quite endearing and fun to read with my little guys. My sons can already talk so I quite enjoy when we go through the book together—my youngest often has adorable things to say like, “That pig-daddy looks pretty mad!”
As I would expect from Jimmy Fallon, the images in his Dada book are goofy, bright and quirky. It’s a great read to spark little imaginations.

What a fun contest giveaway. I have two friends who have either just had twins or are about to have twins. If I win, this book would be awesome for one of their partners for Christmas. Thank you for all of the positive and helpful posts about raising kids. Some days I need them more than others.
I constantly spoke to my baby, at home, in the stroller, and so on. I think this early constant communication helped with our bond in amazing ways.

With my two year old, snuggling while reading and going for walks while talking about anything and everything is how we connect.
With my seven month old, I connect with him through breastfeeding, making him laugh and wearing him in a carrier.
I have a granddaughter now, life is slower when you are a grandparent. I have so much more time now and patience. I love her to pieces and enjoy any thing I do with her, from reading books to raking leaves and talking about the beautiful colors and smells and sounds. I feel like I too am discovering something new 🙂 thanks for this contest
Lots and lots of cuddles. There wasn’t a lot of physical touch for me growing up and now that I have a little one, I truly see the importance of it. We snuggle lots 🙂
We bonded by reading lots of books together. You get to snuggle up close and take breaks to chat.
Now that my daughters are a bit older, I constantly ask them how there day was, and what interests them. When they were babies, we did a lot of singing, and lots of hugs.
i love reading and snuggling with a book with my son…..so special!
